DAYHA is a non-profit corporation formed with the intent to promote the growth of ice hockey in the Durango area and to provide the best possible experience for all participants by encouraging, developing, advancing and administering the sport.

Fundraising Committee:

Our annual Paul O'Neil Golf Tournament is generally held in late September or early October.

Our SkatesGiving event happens on Thanksgiving Day each year.

We offer Sponsorship opportunities as well.


Scholarship Committee:

DAYHA has provided a reduction in registration fees to our qualifying travel hockey participants for a number of years. In general, we have been able to support 3 to 5 individuals each season.


Board Information

How many board members does DAYHA have?

The board has 7 - 9 voting members.

How are board members elected?

The annual election is held each spring. Interested candidates can apply to be put on the ballot in March by sending an interest letter to the DAYHA Secretary.

How long are the board terms?

A board member serves a 2 year term with the opportunity of re-election.

When are the board meetings?

The board meets once per month year round. The meetings are posted on our website calendar at www.DurangoHockey.org.

Can non-board members attend these meetings?

Yes, the board meetings are open to members. During the open comment period at the beginning of the meeting guests can speak.
