About Durango Hockey
Our Misson
DAYHA is a non-profit corporation formed with the intent to promote the growth of ice hockey in the Durango area and to provide the best possible experience for all participants by encouraging, developing, advancing and administering the sport.
Our Programs
We offer hockey programs for ages 4 - 18. All programs are based on the player's birth year (eg. 2012) and, generally, are in two-year increments.
Seasonal Programs
Ages 4 - 8: 6U & 8U - aka Mites
Ages 9 - 10: 10U Travel - aka Squirts
Ages 11 - 12: 12U Travel - aka PeeWee
Ages 13 - 14: 14U Travel - aka Bantams
Girls Ages 15 - 18: Girls may play on the 15U and/or 19U Girls Travel team and/or may try out for the Durango High School hockey team.
Boys Ages 15 - 18: Boys may try out for the Durango High School hockey team.
Ages 9 - 12: Rec Team - For players new to hockey or unable to commit to the travel teams.
Specialized Programs & Clinics
Ages 4 - 9: Learn to Play through Colorado Avalanche in October each season
Ages 7-12: Floorball Clinics
Ages 7 - High School: On-Ice Clinics (PRE-SEASON & POST-SEASON)
The Rink
The Chapman Hill Rink is a seasonal ice rink owned and operated by the City of Durango.
