Durango RINK PROJECT (DRP)

The Durango Rink Project (DRP) is dedicated to bringing the community together to develop a state-of-the-art sports complex that will feature two sheets of ice for the growth of ice hockey, figure skating, and learn-to-skate programs.

Our mission is to provide a premier facility that not only supports athletes of all ages and skill levels but also encourages the hosting of tournaments and figure skating competitions. By promoting excellence, collaboration, and competition, we aim to create a dynamic space where the Durango community can thrive through sports, recreation, and unforgettable events that will inspire future generations.

The Durango City Council approved a feasibility study for 2026! Stay tuned for when!

Next Step for DRP: raise money to pay for a rink consultant to help with the feasibility study findings and how to move forward! The cost is anywhere from $15,000-25,000. Let’s take the steps forward together.
